Google has updated a feature called Doze in the Android 7.0 and above to improve battery performance/optimization, which may impact apps that rely on GPS location, including Glympse and popular navigation services. Glympse users v. 3.22.1 and below users may receive a network connection error when your device is set down, put into your pocket, Glympse app is placed into the background or your device's screen is turned off. http://www.androidauthority.com/android-n-doze-678982/
The Glympse app v. 3.23.0 checks if your OS is 7.0 or above and if the setting is toggled on to disallow battery optimization for the Glympse app. You will be prompted when attempting to share your location to allow Glympse to stay connected while in the background. Tap "Yes".
Please note: Glympse has not made any changes that will increase your battery usage, turning this feature off will grant permission to Glympse to utilize your GPS while you are actively sharing your location. If this feature is set to "No" then Glympse, depending on the state of your device, ie. sitting on your dashboard, placed into a pocket, or set down, may not accurately share your location and may cause interruptions while location sharing.
If you select "No" then you will be prompted again when you attempt to share your location.
If you have not upgraded to Glympse Android v. 3.22.0, you can turn this feature off on your device using the following instructions or you can upgrade to v. 3.23.0.
