Yes, you can both send and view a Glympse using the Glympse app for iPad or iPod. However, as these devices do not support the sending of text messages over the 3G/4G network, there are some differences in how they send a Glympse to a mobile number.
- iPad and iPod users can send a Glympse to any US or Canadian-based phone number and the Glympse service will deliver the message on your behalf. The recipient receives the Glympse from a phone number corresponding to the Glympse server.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to do this for phone numbers outside of North America at this time. We hope to add this capability in the future.
Also, since the Glympse Request feature currently requires SMS capability over a wireless network (versus sending an iMessage over a regular internet connection), the Request feature is unavailable on iPads and iPod Touch.
