This feature would enable the user to control the refresh rate of the GPS in order to save battery life.

    We tried using Glympse for a long-distance sailing regatta and it drained everyone's batteries too fast.  If we could change the refresh rate even up to an hour that would really help with battery life.  We do not need highly accurate locations, just a sense of where the person is on the course.

    One of the most important thing i think! GPS drains battery life realy fast. It'd be usefull to just show where we are every e.g. 5 minutes in 45min glympse...
