No, you do not need to download the Glympse mobile app to view someone’s location who does have the app installed. In other words, just one needs the app downloaded, not both.
The Glympse mobile app works across all devices. While the app is required to share/request location, it is not required to view the user’s location. For example, if a user wishes to share their location with a colleague, they can simply choose the colleague’s phone number, and the colleague will receive a link to view the user’s current location.
They can see your location on a map by clicking on the link they receive as a text message (see below). No sign-up on their end is required. Download the Glympse app for free here: iPhone and Android
